I thought some would jump in on adjusting the carburetor. There are some on line instructions: http://www.myfordtractors.com/carburetor.shtml among others.
If your governor has the screw on cap on the end, a tachometer cable should be able to directly screw on. However you should be able to do the adjustments by ear and not have to spend for a tachometer.
