Thank you for sharing your long history of gas cap problems! As a precaution we don't put in more than 5 gallons at a time. I think we will give the NAPA Sparex cap a try. It seems we just can't get the gasket to make a good seal. I agree, I think most people don't know they are having the same problem. Dan
