A 5 foot Brush Hog is pretty standard and a 5 or 6 foot mower will work fine on an N-Series tractor. Use 2nd gear about 7/8 Throttle but don't get into real heavy weeds or you will stall out or overheat. Best to take shorter cuts and make two passes if weeds are real high. A 9N/2N only has DRAFT CONTROL so I advise to use Limiter Chains for setting the mower height or getting a Zane Thang or Red Rock Mfg. POSITION CONTROL device. If going into unknown territory, I advise to survey the whole area first for any hidden obstructions like old cars, parts, refrigerators, Jimmy Hoffa, or any other dead bodies... ; > )
