FORD Myth #3: A 12V System is an 'upgrade'. FALSE. Turning slow wouldn't be caused by a 6V battery. 12V would help with faster starting with a worn engine but other than that not due to 6V if compression is good. A 'new' battery doesn't mean it is a good battery. Was it tested under load at a shop for specific gravity? EI only eliminates the use of points and one wrong move and they're toast -never had a need or want for them myself. Iceland or New Hampshire -doesn't matter. I live in Michigan - cold 9 months a year. I never had a need or desire for 12V Ford tractor. Fords have run on 6V/POS GRN for 118 years. Fellas just fail to understand the 6V system and subscribe to all teh myths and fallacies they hear.
