Probably. It was an often occurence. A farmer depending on the tractor needed it running. A Ford engine was a Ford engine.
Many years go by, used tractor dealers have several "parts" tractors. Make one out of three. Frankentractor.
I knew a man who would buy Ford tractors from Michigan to Kentucky and Pennsylvania to Iowa. Refurbish, mix and match, maybe paint and sell in the spring. 25 to 30 tractors a year. I bought 2 from him.
