Appreciate everyones answers to the few posts I have had so far, I suspect I will be posting lots of questions now as I am full into the start of a restore on a 50 8N. Have completely disassembled it, not a bolt left in her. Plan is to repair and reasemble everything through the winter and paint next year. Current task as I wait for parts is cleaning everything and I plan to primer individual parts as I go, will then sand, prime and paint later. What do you guys usually do for the unpainted parts? For instance, cleaning up the rear hubs. Want to prime the faces that will be painted red later but what about the backside ect? Prime everthing, leave bare steel or protect with something else (light coat of oil)? Dont want everything rusting but I doubt these type of parts were ever painted originally.
Thanks in advance
