It takes a ton of heat and a huge puller when they are stuck fast. Worst one I ever removed took a big rosebud torch til the hub was starting to glow red and the big puller. Vowed never to waste that much effort and torch gas again. Took the next stuck one to the machine shop and had it pressed off, 120 ton press and when it let go the rafters shook and dirt fell. It took about ten minutes and they charged $20. some other machinists were not happy so I doubt if they will do another!
