Here's more info on the AUX TRANS...go to John Smith's page too -see LINK. Your s/n only means the engine was approved and stamped in 1946, the last year any 2N's were ever built. 2N Production ceased in December, 1946. All 1947 2N's were actually cast and assembled in 1946. I meant though a s/n on a Sherman doesn't matter, if they exist at all, -they were all meant to go on any N Tractor. When we refer to Left and Right side of tractor, they are determined by sitting in the seat and going by your left and right. Note where the shifter is on each of the AUX TRANS.
