My tractor is running very rough, backfiring and stalling out after a tune-up consisting of points, condenser, plugs, distributor cap, rotor and new wires. I am afraid I may have the wires wrong. So, 1) are the cylinders numbered front to back 1 to 4? 2) Can you verify that the firing order on an 841 is 1-2-4-3? 3)Starting with the number 1 position marked on the distributor, should the wires go to cylinder 1, 2, 4, 3 IN A CLOCKWISE ROTATION FROM 1 OR COUNTER CLOCKWISE ROTATION FROM 1?
If this is not what is causing the issue, I will go back through the installation process.
