The DEARBORN UTILITY BLADE is Model No. 19-5, 3-pt lift type back blade. Blades and Dozers listed in own category. Again, forget about any serial numbers -means relatively nothing. Plows are a different category. When the Sherman Bros departed the Ferguson company (they had worked with him years before and hated him then) The Ferguson-Sherman Corp then became simply 'Harry Ferguson Inc'. Again, forget the serial number, why are you obsessed with the s/n? If you find one, document it with model number on your list if you want and move on. Don't use anything abrasive to clean the ID Tag with. Mineral Spirits (paint thinner and charcoal lighter fluid are the same thing), kerosene, 50/50 ATF & Acetone, wife's toothbrush, and soft rags. See the list in our MANUALS forum (link below)for a ton of info. Dearborn/Ford engineers revamped the design of the plow, made better -see cross shaft and A-Frame. Dearborn introduced the Economy Plow style in 1950 which was an even better plow design. The latter plows do not interchange parts with the older Prior Model Moldboard plows. Do you use STABILIZER BARS with your back blade? I recommend using them to help keep the blade from kicking sideways and also are called 'anti-sway' bars. Keeps the blade rigid for pushing/pulling dirt and snow. I also advise to use them for use with mowers and brush hogs.
