I fixed a gasket surface for a spin-on oil filter on the BIL's lawnmower using JB Weld. I had to put it on with a popsicle stick since the rubber gasket wouldn't provide a proper mating surface. Some careful work with a file dressed it flat.

I think someone had tried removing the filter by driving a screwdriver through the can, but missed.

It was supposed to be a temporary fix, but it is still working even though the replacement part came in months ago!
