ok i did compression check results
#1= 28, #2=0, #3=0, #4=0, #5=60, #6=55

thinking back to when i had the cylinder head off the valves had quite a bit of rust pitting around were the valve meets the block im wondering if thats how its loosing its compression rather then the rings.
ive never even attempted to work on a engine that wasnt over head valve.
how hard is it to replace a valve on one of these?
