We need some clarification. First, if you mean the starter motor solenoid, all 9N and 2N models never used one. Starter motors were simply a 1-Wire unit with no solenoid. The 8N Model introduced the 3-wire starter motor with a solenoid. If you are referring to the push button safety starter switch, there are two models used on the 9N. One is the early dash-mounted unit, before s/n 12500, and the other is used on all 9N/2N models after the switch was moved to the lower shifter cover by the gear shifter. That part is Ford 9N-11450. Master Parts Catalogs (MPC's)are a huge tool when tracing parts. We have all the 9N and 2N MPC's in our MANUALS forum/library for free download if you need them. You can buy quality new parts from Dennis Carpenter (see LINK) or JUST8N's.com. However, I highly suggest before you go buying any new parts, you perform a root cause problem solving method to determine what exactly is the issue and if a part is defective to beg8in with. 95% of all non-starting issues are due to incorrect wiring, 5% due to fuel issues. Tell us a bit more if you are having symptoms and if you are using a 6V/POS GRN system or a 12V switch out job.
