The wife is on me to get the Demonstrator prepped for show and it is on the slow back burner. Some initial repairs followed by finally getting around to putting the 881D together and shortly after that the Demo will get started on in earnest.
Meanwhile for the Demonstrator. . .
I picked up a new "Made in India" 6 loop rim and naturally the rim bolts are different. I finally got that ironed out and will even deal with the valve stem on the inside rather the the OEM outside placement.
The center binds where it is supposed to mount up over the welded on loops.
Grind the rim? Center? Both?
I found out that a 13.6 X 28 filled tire weighs in around 600 pounds. Add some pie weights and makes me wonder what the axle weight capacity is on the 871 Demonstrator?
Next time I deal with a filled tire, I will be doing it differently.
Handling a 600 pound fluid dynamics experiment can be fun. I don't need that much fun.
