Is there something unusual about your 600? Or are you located in an extremely hot climate? While there is a good bit of heat under the hood on these tractors, they've been running successfully using the factory configuration for more than sixty summers.
Something I have found on older tractors with chronic overheating was sediment deposited in the engine's coolant jacket. Core plugs out, pressure washer to blow it out, new core plugs in.
Raincoat comes in handy for this job.
