If you had a 12V battery and cutout and generator, wiring may have been mucked up. Check it now and be sure it is correct. The 9N after s/n 132500 and all 2Ns used the 1-Wire/3-Brush 11 amp generator with the cutout. Also, it is necessary to have a belt tensioning device. Here is the original belt tensioner and wiring diagrams. Polarizing the 9N/2N generator with cutout is to arc spark the cutout BAT terminal to the ARM terminal. If you still have your OEM 2N generator, I may want to buy it. Email is open.
