Because it is a Ford part. I scour the world to obtain vintage New Old Stock filters, Breaker Points, Condensers, Caps Rotors, for all my tractors and vintage vehicles that were made when quality was indeed Job 1. The GM built vehicles in my collection get genuine AC and Delco parts when the two divisions were separate. No AC/Delco brand. I do however use current production Motorcraft FL1-A oil filters on the tractors, cars, and trucks if I am out of NOS. It's just another one of the Methods of My Madness. SoS.
