Check the voltage at your battery. It should be 12.65 volts.

Then, turn the key on and check it at the top of the coil. If the points are open, you should see exactly the voltage you saw at the battery. If the points are closed, you should see about 9 volts or so. Bump the starter until you get the exact voltage for points open and points closed.

Post back w/ results.

If you have a good battery and see the correct voltage, the problem is inside the distributor.
