There was a unit similar to that on Ebay a few years ago.
John Smith and I discussed it on the YT N board. Neither of us went any farther with the idea. That was about the time he built that SOS lawn mower tractor that he had and I had just bought an 8 speed with live pto so neither of us needed it.
We had considered using double or triple #60 chain. Build a oil tight box and fill it with oil.
I think if I were to persue the idea I would consider going with a belt drive. Belts will handle all the horsepower a big Harley will put out so would handle a 25 hp N or 33 hp Jubilee. Easier to tighten an open belt than a set of sprockets in oil.
When I was a kid I worked for a berry farmer in Oregon. He had a Massey 35 deluxe with a Howard rotovator on the back.
I tilled between the rows of berries. It was the most boring job I've ever had. Creeping along about 1 mph with that thing clanging and jerking behind me. I would Never own a tiller. Give me a plow and disc!
