You must have a fat finger this morning.

I've never seen a 6v front coil at 3.2 ohms.....and never a 12v at 6.4.

The OEM Ford script 6v coil spec'd at 0.470 to 0.510 ohms .

New ones are usually 1.5 or so and seldom do the 12v coils get to more than 2.5. Hence the need for the oem ballast resistor.
