Starter stud

Good afternoon all,
Got my 600 Ford running today with new wiring harness. It charges and ammeter works (none of that was wired up before + ammeter was missing). Very proud of myself so far....
Anybody ever use one of these starter stud repair studs?
Usually seem to be part no. ABC508.
Stud for cable on starter is stripped.
Dont think too difficult to dismount + disemble starter to replace but I noticed these repair studs...?
Next question - I assume brass stud should have brass nut?
Anybody know what thread these are? 5/16 x something?
If I use the repair stud do I remove the bottom nut or leave it in place?

I think the repair stud will probably work, just not enuff thread on end of stud with width of cable end.
