The pump was working when I pulled it out.It would lift the arms easily but would not go back down.I changed the relief valve/safety valve and got the intake and exhaust valves on the pump cleaned up and moving again.With the pump out the lift arms pushed back down and old hydraulic fluid came out of the lift piston.I assume and hope, the stuck exhaust valve was keeping it up.As you probably know, the valves are in the lowest point, all that "tar/coal slag" had collected there.Now that all of it is gone I am hoping it will be good for a while.I am however,considering pulling the top cover this spring and replacing the piston with the improved NAA piston.
