There were several items that were not on every early 9N. Changes were made fast and furious and everything couldn't be documented as such. Take the OEM 7 x 32 6-LOOP REAR RIMS for example. They're on #179. Vintage films from June 29, 1939 show the toolbox was mounted on the back of the seat. There was also NO muffler shield on the demo tractors in that film. So just because somebody made a supposed list and web site of early 9N stuff doesn't mean they were all correct and inclusive. Those sites and books have been proven to have incorrect information or missing important information. I know for a fact that Dave's #179 did not have the OEM early 9N-A generator and voltage regulator because I have the genny. Dave was trying to get it right but did not have the correct VR to go with it so gave up. I told him he could use an NAA VR if he fabbed a new mounting bracket with the B-Circuit genny and he said he was just going to leave it as is and I could buy the original so I did. It still beats out that one auction in 2016 with an alternator on the early 9N.
