The three longer studs were used where extra thread length was needed to attach the wiring tube to the top of the engine with a second nut. Check your cylinder head thickness before you buy bolts or studs. Some replacement heads are thicker castings. Leaving studs long can be a problem when it comes time to change spark plugs. Those threaded studs sticking up will do a number on your knuckles.
