Yep, carb kits today are supplied by various suppliers - some have revamped needle float valves. They went from a 2-piece OEM design to a 3-piece design (why reinvent the wheel?) and the main jet and Throttle Idle screws are always being changed. I get the TISCO kits that have the 2-piece float valves and I will not use the plastic venturiis or floats. I am working on a TSX-241 carb right now that I had bought a fleabay special aftermarket kit from. Well, the choke plate is steel or tin and didn't fit, and bent up easily. The screw holes didn't line up so I took a used OEM brass one and installed it no problem. It does matter where you buy from.
