Hi folks... Ford 8N owner here.

I am hoping to hear a consistent response without creating a flame war.

I have purchased two fuel sediment shutoff/bowl assemblies in the last year or so. Both of them are leaking fuel around the seal where the glass bowl meets the die cast aluminum body. One of them leaked far worse than the other, which is still leaking too much for comfort.

My father and I have tried many different means to get these new units to not leak where the bowl meets the body but they are just not cooperating. Both of the units we have purchased came from overseas. One from China, the other from India. We are tired of fighting this out and would love to hear your choice for these sediment shutoff bowl assemblies.

When you need to order one of these, and you want it to work the first time, what would you choose? Is there an option that is a slam dunk? Something that is iron clad, high quality, a sure fire performer?

My father is trying the o enjoy this project and I am hoping that we can get something certain to boost morale.

Thanks for your suggestions, always glad to hear from you and respect your input. I donít want to disclose where we both the last couple to avoid causing disruption, so please donít ask.

I hope youíre all doing really well, the engines are all turning over and firing quickly and good times are had in the seat of your favorite Ford N tractor...

Take care guys!

Jason (Bandon, Oregon area)
