It might be worth a trip to harbor freight to see if they have something with a different type flex shaft. I think the one I have was for adjusting dwell on an old GM distributor. They used to have a window to adjust dwell with engine running. I cut the socket end off and can whack on the handle with a hammer. When the seal area is wide enough I slip a thin blade from a set of feeler gauges in there to protect the crank surface. The tool Gaspump mentioned really is called a Sneaky Pete. At least that is what Lisle calls it (Lisle 27000). Looks like Advance Auto parts carries Lisle tools, but my experience with them usually involves going to 5 different stores to find one that actually has what I need in stock.
