I put two 2x4 on either side that sit on a pad that sits on the concrete slab. The 2x4s are wedged into place and then screwed and screwed to the pad. I tested and I don't think I could kick them out of place. I looked on Lowe's website for a 2x10 to add to the one there but they don't have any long enough for the span; the span is less than 18 feet but they don't have any 18 foots in stock. There would be an issue with transport as I don't have a truck. I use to have a friend that I could count on, he was a great resource as well as a friend as he was very knowledgeable. However, some drugie broke into his house and murdered him.

It has been ascertained that the hoist can do the job. The question is on the mounting. I could see about getting a 2x10 that would span the width of the 2x4 and strengthen just that section; I can transport a 2x10x8' in my Buick. The bolts used for the hoist were grade 5; 7/16 (the actual holes were in mm) and the bolts for the additional board you see were grade 5 3/8. I had to use the extra board because I could not get to the bolts for the hoist.
