Ok, 12V but what and how did you rewire the charging system? There are but 2 or 3 correct ways and a zillion incorrect ways. 12V battery, 12V alternator, round-can cutout and generator removed altogether, OEM ballast resistor wired OEM, 6V coil on a 12V switch out requires adding an external ceramic 1-OHM resistor. Using a 12V coil (recommended) eliminates that extra part. Starter motor is 1-Wire unit with NO solenoid. Ignition Key Switch is 2-wire OEM, starter neutral safety button switch by shifter, an ammeter, and wired all correctly will have you running. Tune-up on distributor can’t hurt. Parts best to get at NAPA:

FORD FRONT MOUNT PARTS:
POINTS: Echlin, CS-35, or Blue Streak – FD-6769X
CAP: FA-350 or FD-126
ROTOR: FA-300 or FD-104
CONDENSER: FA-200 or FD-71
GASKET KIT: SK 60308 or BK 60308
SPARK PLUGS: AutoLite 437 (also 216) or CHAMPION H12 (also 512)
POINT GAP = .015”
PLUG GAP = .025”
FIRING ORDER 1, 2, 4, 3 CCW.
