I guess it depends on how you look at it. My father purchased my 1951 8N in 1953 when I was 10. He passed away in 1968 at the age of 53. After selling most of the farm equipment except the Ford and attachments my mother told me that the 8N and equipment was mine. So I guess officially about 1970. I still have Nellybelle (the name I gave her when I was 10). Soon to be 66 years in that butt bucket.
I bought a 9N about 1985, so my first real purchase of a tractor. It has been a disease ever since. My worst case was when I bought 5 Ford Ns in one purchase.
Since then I have bought and sold some Ford tractors over the years. There are um-teen here now. That is more than 10 but less than 20. I never give an actual number so that I do not lie to my wife. Like Roger Welsch said in "Love, Sex and Tractors", stay with one brand and/or color. No dear, not another tractor, just moving them around. (I do have the book just not sure of the exact quote)
She has since just given me a shrug, raised eyes and a disgusted exhale.
