Pie weights can be mounted to your NAA, though they were not introduced until after the NAA model run ended. Yes, they are convenient to install/remove when compared with other weights used with vintage Ford tractors.
Pie weights come in several styles and weights.
A so-called "light" set would be most suitable for your NAA, though these are somewhat harder to find than the so-called "heavy" sets. Of course, you could use a heavy set without mounting all 12 segments.
I sold my extra set of light pie weights a couple of years ago and am not yet ready to sell my "primary" set but may do so once I decide what to do with my 64, 4000, SOS "retirement project."
Watch ebay, here, CL and YT for pie weight sets. The come up from time to time. The going rate for a COMPLETE set of heavy pie weights is around $650. A light set may well bring $750 because these sets are more difficult to find, and can be used with vintage Ford power adjust rims.
Post back if you have questions. There are several folks here who can answer questions about pie weights.
