The 32" Loop Rims (28" too) are one of those parts that slipped thru the eng'g cracks as far as documentation goes. The very first Ford-Ferguson 9N MPC, March, 1940, does not list them at all. The 1940 MPC only lists the 9N-1108-C and the 9N-1108-D rims only. The way I decipher this is, the 9N-1108-A was the original 8 x 32 LOOP rim; the 9N-1108-B was the 9 x 28 LOOP rim; the 9N-1108-C is the 8 x 32 HAT rim and the 9N-1108-D is the 9 x 28 HAT rim. This would indicate the LOOP rims were declared obsolete before the end of 1939 and certainly before 1940 production. This is only my take, based on the data at hand. The thing is when a part became obsolete, often the technical drawings and engineering information sheets were destroyed, so there are no records to access. I have them on my list of documents to research at the Benson Ford next time I go, but it's been years since I was last there and no plans to go anytime soon.
