Upon removing the wobbly right spindle (looking forward) to replace the bushings, the thrust bearing fell out in pieces. The appeared to be some scoring where on the spindle base where it sat.
After replacing the bushings by hammering down the old ones and then replacing the thrust bearing, the re-assembly left me with a large gap where the bottom of the axle assembly meets the spindle base.
As a result securing the spindle to the spindle arm won't align.
The edge of the thrust bearing is sticking up as its riding high on the scored surface of the spindle.
Same procedure worked fine on the left spindle and left no gap.
Any ideas as to how to close the gap?
