I agree, any clean carb is better than the filthy thing currently on many of these tractors. I have one Zenith and several MS carbs that I rotate between my 8N and 2N. I have not noticed any difference in performance between the MS and Zenith. Tuning is the same. I recently rebuilt the original Holley on my 3000. That one starts and idles great, but the throttle must be opened s-l-o-w-l-y when the engine has just been started. Give it a minute to get some heat in the engine and it works just fine. I'm a long ways from pitching the Holley in the weeds, unless it get's a lot more cold-natured when temps get cooler.
