Most older cars run a "short fiber" wheel bearing grease for drum brakes. That thin stuff tends to liquefy real fast and can ooze out past seals quick enough. So, if you open that can and it looks a bit soupy, you might desire to look into the short fiber wheel bearing grease for drum brakes.
