Well, I discovered that the threads on my right axle are stripped. Hub was bad so I bought a new one. Tried the two piece Tisco lock nut and ended up stripping the rest of the threads. New hub was nice and tight. Rather than spend $200 to have a new one shipped I want to see what you all think about having a local machine shop re-thread it if possible. I assume it would be cheaper. What would be the next size down and where can I get a suitable replacement axle nut? Is the slightly smaller threaded shaft a bad idea? Thanks in advance.
