Here is an early Ford V8 (1932) generator with the cutout attached. Rating: 12 AMPS/6.7 VOLT output. In 1934 the 3rd Brush was increased to 19 AMPS at 7V output. The FORD Model 'B' auto used the carryover Model 'A' 3-Brush generator with round-can cutout, rated at 12 AMP/6.25 Volt output. In May, 1937, the generator was changed to a 2-Brush/2-Wire unit and now used a voltage regulator, obsoleting the cutout. The FORD 9N tractor first used a variation of this genny and VR.
