Put the ring gear on the BBQ. Kept it on grille til the grille read 650 degrees.That should have worked if it didn't cool off to fast.I always use a acetylene torch to heat the ring gear,or maybe you could try two map gas torches might do it. Or the ring gear directly on a ring of thick bed of charcoal.I should be heated evenly all the way around blue hot(not quite red hot) work fast an make sure it is on the right direction (tapered teeth to the clutch side if the ring gear only has tapered teeth on one side,some tapered on both sides.Work fast tapping it all the way down lightly using a flat end punch and hammer,(let it cool slowly) NO Water To Cool! Replace/check clutch pilot and throw out,trans seal while split, always replace the seal!
