The new Kubota replacement was delivered last Thursday, and I've nearly finished prepping it for its new assignment.
Today, before removing the 5' rotary cutter from the 51, I took it out for it's last chore to make sure everything worked as intended (I already knew that it would) and for a bit of seat time with an old friend.
This week, I'll mount the cutter on the Kubota, set everything up as needed, and try it out a couple of times to gain confidence in the new set up, before posting the ad for the 51 on CL.
The 51 has been here since 1974, has been and remains a good one and I have mixed emotions, but it's time. Too many machines to maintain and too many batteries to replace.
I've 5 Kubotas now and the 55 860 with all of the toys is collecting dust. It will likely go within a year.
