I had to extend the arms on my stand to bolt up a IH 392 Gas V8. The same stand had fit Flatheads, 427 FE, and 460s. The arms lacked 3/4 inch on each side at the top of block. Cut them into,welded in another inch worth of flatbar, plus fishplated each joint. I also had to drill them out for 1/2 inch bolts on the 392. SoS.
