Make sure the transmission is in neutral the apply 12 v direct to starter with a 12 volt battery pack.Best tool you can own.$40.00 buys one.They have a light that can be used when power goes down.You could have a locked starter drive.I use mine to power a small 120 volt inverter that runs solder irons when power line goes out.Keeps my shop running.
