Yep, a common minor error. The 9N was produced up thru 1942 too. In February, 1942, all production at Ford was stopped due to the US War Board directive. There were about 10,000 or so units built up til then. The 2N model wasn't built/released until late 1942, about October/November. Also, the FORD script wasn't added to the fenders until 1950. All 9N's and 2N's had the "9N" prefix in the serial number -there is no such thing as a '2N' prefixed serial number. It's always cool to see these restored machines.
