Black pepper. Yes sir, The ground black pepper you buy at the grocery store to put on your food. Put a tablespoon full in the radiator and let it run until it reaches operating temperature. Cheap, effective, and does not gum up or leave nasty deposits in the motor or radiator. Learned the trick from an old radiator guy. We had a fire truck that got a piece of straw that poked a hole in the radiator during a grass fire. The chief told the radiator guy "guess we have a job for you". Radiator guy looked at it, said "put a tablespoon of pepper in it". I was skeptical. Put the pepper in. Fire truck was retired 15 years later, radiator was never fixed. Been using pepper for small leaks for more than 40 years.
