My early 1939 Ford-Ferguson 9N, s/n *9N-653I*, is stored over in the barn at the farm so not accessible right now, so I don't know what I have. I was trying to find some pictures of my 9N that I might be able to help ID the trumpets with, but so far can't find any clear photos. Meanwhile, we have the early 9N MPC's here in our MANUALS -see LINK for the 1940 one. Trumpet p/n's 9N-4012 & 9N-4013 listed with suffix symbol dollar sign ($). Scroll down to Page 49 at the back, SYMBOLS, and it lists the parts that were documented with changes made and each symbol used defining serial numbers used on and when changed. Does this help?
