In your response, you say, "Since steel cylinder liners are no longer made...." The thin 0.040" sleeves were steel and the thick 0.090" were cast. For clarification, the thin 0.040" sleeves are still available today for the 8N/9N/2N along with the thick. And as far as I know, the NAA only used one sleeve thickness.
