No, Ford 9N, 2N, and early 8Ns used the Marvel-Schebler TSX-33 carb, then switched to the newer M/S TSX-241 carb soon into 8N production. There is no such model number (TSX-251) listed in the M/S Manuals. I think you may be looking at the brass date code/ID tag that was riveted to the carbs. It would have the model number plus the manufacturing date stamped on the tag. "2 - 51" sounds to me like that is what you are looking at; denotes build date as February, 1951. Can you post some pictures? If you used a TISCO carb kit meant for the TSX-33/241 carbs, and the parts worked, then it is probably the correct carb. NAA used the TSX-428 carb, and later Hundred Series carbs used other models. Parts are slightly different and do not interchange with N-Series models and these all mounted on the LH side of engine; 9N, 2N, and 8N carbs mount on the RH side. TSX-241 Brass ID/Date Code Tag:
