Sorry but you are wrong again.The 110 v adapters were sold by many companies in the 70s.Chrysler used a simple 2 rate relay to control voltage,The Chrysler alternator was easy to work on because the brushes could be replaced with out pulling the alternator off the car.The silicon diode made the alternator possible in autos and trucks.The later built in regulators would fail and batteries would get boiled out and bulged.My wife had 2 GM cars with boiled out batteries.I repeat, a generator will increase voltage if the battery get disconnected.
