No casting numbers on the axle, Front distributor (with some strange wood block modifications - have to look into that!), Sealed beam headlights.

So 44-47. With the early 8N engine (5 digit SN) I was wondering if Ford would have put early 8N engines in late 2N tractors??

The transmission casting number 7 006 makes since. The "D" might be a revision number!
I remember in my old company (IR) our casting patterns would wear out and had to be repaired or replaced!
