There was a homemade solution that cost next to nothing. Add remote control rods and knobs under the seat to set the pawls. Drill a hole thru the pawl for a control rod. Rod material is similar to carb/choke linkage. Bend "Z" in end of rod to catch in hole thru pawl. Rod then passes up thru a new bracket under one of the bolts at the top of the rear end housing. Cut rod to length and tap threads on the end for a knob, just above the bracket. The new knobs under the seat are a lot easier to reach when setting the brake pawls.
