it is not as bad as people let on. i never did a 8n but it is the same as a jubilee that i did. drain the differential fluids remove the left tire. then use an engine lift for support of the the trumpet assy. take the trumpet off the differential . it will just slide back and the axle will come out of the differential. you do not have to disassemble the brakes,hub, drum assy. it is heavy. and you need to be careful of balance when you attach the engine lift chains. then remove the differential. it is just sitting three and slid onto the right axle. this will give you plenty of room to access the lift pin, and you can clean out the bottom of the differential housing. while the left trumpet is removed. replace the left pin also. they are not expensive. i personally put a little permatex sealer on my pins. this worksed for the jubilee, and the 1968 2000.
